Video Game Systems

I get home from school, and i pick up my itouch from the table it was hot, since the sun was hitting it. I go to my room and Start using it, out of no where a crack starts to appear in the touch part, like not the outer glass case? wtf is that? The room was pretty cold so maby a change in temperature??? Its on the 1 year warranty, I should get a new one right?
